COVID-19 Program Update

To help keep our communities safe and healthy and reduce the spread of COVID-19 this workshop is postponed. Please stay tuned for updates!

Girls Who Code

Squeaky Wheel’s Girls Who Code chapter introduces young women to coding languages, mentors, and career paths in the field. The objective of this program is to fight the digital divide that women are experiencing in the technology and computer science industries (STEM fields) while encouraging experimental and artistic uses of the technology. Our 6th-12th-grade club encourages participants to impact our community in a positive way through code. Students will learn to build various projects such as animations, games, apps, and other things that they dream up! Participants will have the opportunity to meet women working in computer sciences, exclusive access to apply to internships, and priority in applying for the National Girls Who Code Summer Intensive where girls get the opportunity to work for big tech companies like AT&T, snacks, t-shirts and more 100% free for each workshop participant.
