RENTAL POLICY
We offer our members low-cost access to film and media production equipment, as well as significant discounts on film, video and digital arts production workshops. Please review the following policies for equipment rental. Our policies help to keep our equipment safe so that everyone has the opportunity to use our facilities.
EQUIPMENT ORIENTATION WORKSHOP (free for members)
Upcoming workshops: 6/1/13, 7/13/13, 8/10/13, 9/14/13, 10/12/13 (1 - 3 PM)
This is a mandatory workshop for new members who would like to rent equipment. Long time members are also encouraged to come and brush up on their technical know-how. In order to help you get the most out of the equipment you rent we are providing a free workshop on the second Saturday of every month. During the workshop, we will learn how to use all of the equipment available to our members, including film & video cameras, microphones, tripods, etc. Please register for the orientation in advance by calling 716-884-7172 or e-mail our Tech Director (mark@squeaky.org).
COMPUTER LAB
Our members have access to the coolest spot in Buffalo, Squeaky Wheel's computer lab! The computers in the all Mac lab are loaded with the Adobe Creative Suite (which includes programs like Flash, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign and Premiere), Final Cut Pro, and a rang of other programs suited to all your media-making needs. If you want a more private set up, we also have an enclosed editing suite available! It is open to members during Squeaky's open hours - calling ahead will ensure that you get a spot!
Lab Rates:
$10/hour, $20/day, $50/week
Private Editing Suite Rates:
$15/hour, $30/day, $60/week
Some membership levels come with a set number of free hours of lab time.
MICROCINEMA RENTALS
The hourly rental rate for our screening room is $40/members, and $60/non-members. Special rates are available for students with valid ID. For more details please see the Microcinema Rental Contract.
