Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Squeaky Wheel’s Outdoor Animation Festival in Days Park!

Squeaky Wheel’s Outdoor Animation Festival is a free event in Days Park that brings out close to 300 people to enjoy animations underneath a blanket of stars. Come celebrate the 10th anniversary of Squeaky Wheel’s Outdoor Animation Festival! Bring your own lawn chair (or blanket) and gather round to watch funfetti-tastic animations that illuminate the night with dreamy technicolor eye-cake. Stop by around 8:30pm, before the sun goes down, to get a front row seat and interact with Squeaky Wheel’s Stop Motion Animation Station! See the full list of featured artists for the Animation Festival below, artists can easily be found online if you are interested in a sneak preview.

This festival will also showcase two recent animations (Flying Bird & One Speck in the Universe), produced by local youth artist, Maria Ziaja (Age 12, City Honors High School), in Squeaky Wheel’s Tech Arts for Girls Workshop, a youth workshop recently named the Best Youth Workshop in Western New York by Buffalo Spree Magazine! Following this event, Squeaky Wheel is teaming up with Hardware on Allen Street to bring an after-party celebration. This after-party event will take place in the backroom of Hardware on Allen Street, with an exclusive screening that features animations too lewd, too wild and too crazy for the main screen!!!!  The screening will include animations by infamous animation bandits such as David Shrigley, Don Hertzfeldt.....and MORE! Join us in the back room of Allen Street Hardware around 10:30, FIVE BONE$ and a special ‘shave and a haircut’ knock will get you in the back door!
