The Publications Committee met in early December to discuss issues surrounding the organization's output in print and online media. The committee is comprised of Director Dorothea Braemer, Courtney Grimm, Chris Gallant and Chris Schobert. Also joining our ranks is Elizabeth Licata, a former board member and President. Elizabeth's professional expertise is in publishing and the committee will no doubt benefit greatly from her continued guidance and input.

It was agreed that the committee would actively invite and encourage submissions to both its printed and on-line publications. Publication schedules for on-line and traditional media were also discussed and it was determined that, although Squealer has been published bi- annually in the past, the publication will now only be an annual one. This schedule will allow the committee to concentrate on quality and keep production costs down. The committee also approved the tri-annual publication of an e-newsletter that will be called The State of the Wheel. The newsletter will contain relevant updates, upcoming event reminders and a short report from the various committees on Squeaky Wheel's board of directors. It will be delivered to the members and other interested and relevant parties.

Efforts to preserve Squealer's history are already underway, and a complete collection of Squealer has been archived at the University at Buffalo's Lockwood Library. The committee has also approved the archiving of past issues into PDF format. All questions can be directed to the publications committee chair, Chris Gallant at cgallant@hilbert.edu
